Silver Mirror was founded in 2016 by Cindy Kim and Matt Maroone, who became friends in business school after meeting on a student trek through India. As they talked through business ideas, skincare kept coming up. Cindy’s own experience with finicky skin and Matt’s years of dealing with cystic acne had shown them that great products, expensive facials, and dermatology visits alone were not always enough. The missing piece was consistency: fast, effective treatments that could become part of a real routine, like the facials Cindy used to enjoy regularly while living in Korea.
That early vision shaped Silver Mirror into a skincare authority built on innovative techniques, exacting standards, and estheticians trained to deliver best-in-class results.

As Silver Mirror has grown, our standards have only become more exacting. Since joining in 2021, COO Rachael Gallo has helped elevate Silver Mirror’s service standards, bringing nearly two decades of esthetician experience to the brand’s continued evolution. What began as a new approach to skincare has evolved into a luxury facial destination known for innovative techniques, advanced technology, and some of the most highly trained estheticians in the industry.
Today, Silver Mirror incorporates AI-powered skin analysis into the guest experience, giving estheticians another tool to better understand skin needs and deliver expert care with even greater precision. This commitment to education, innovation, and results continues to shape every facial and every recommendation we make.
